Reflecting on Savannah's birth

We just had some pictures put on CD from Jeannine's camera from Savannah's birth. Though it was almost a year ago, it made me reflect on that day, and what a special blessing Savannah has been to our family. Time goes by quickly when you're raising a family, and it's easy to forget some of the details of your children's lives. Little Savannah has grown so much, it's hard to believe she was ever this little.

Setting up the Christmas tree

Yes, Christmas has come and gone, but we're slow in updating things. Kaitlyn was really excited for Christmas this year, which made it more fun for Brandon and I, as this is the first year she's really started to grasp the concept of Christmas. When we told her it was time to put up our Christmas tree and decorations, she went bonkers, and wanted to help so bad. It was really fun as a parent to see your child get so excited over an event like Christmas. Usually putting up the decorations is such a chore, and sometimes hard for us to enjoy doing, but seeing Kaitlyn's enthusiasm made it worth the work. Anyway, here are a few photos of Kaitlyn putting things up.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving this year at Brandon's parents house, though it doesn't appear Brandon was there from the pictures we took. Sorry Brandon.

Andrea, Jon, and Nathan joined us for the dinner, and the food was delicious. We have a lot to be thankful for.

The Old Man's Birthday

Dad turned 63 on Novemeber 22nd. Talk about old...sheesh. Just kidding Dad. We met up with Mom, Dad, Andrea and Jon at Organ Stop Pizza. It's a good place to go, especially with the kids. We had a lot of fun talking, and listening to the music there. Kaitlyn is fascinated by the organ, and loves to dance along to the music. Savannah has been having a rough time with her top teeth coming in, so she wasn't in the greatest of moods, but little Nathan (I say "little" when reality, he's HUGE) seemed to love the lights, and all the noise going on. It was a good evening, and I hope Dad enjoyed his birthday. Anyway, happy birthday Old Man!!! We love you.

Halloween

We had some family over for Halloween. Last year, Kaitlyn loved trick or treating, so I figured this year, she'd really enjoy it. She wore her Sleeping Beauty dress. From the moment she woke up that morning, all she would talk about was going trick or treating. Brandon's Dad came over, and Andrea, Jon, and Nathan joined us as well. Brandon's Dad had some food catered to the house, and then he and Brandon took Kaitlyn out for the night. She had so much fun, and even was courageous enough to knock on the doors, and say the occassional "trick or treat". Savannah went along with them as well. It was fun to have the family over.

Kaitlyn's 3rd Birthday Party

Everytime I think we're going to be better at blogging, we fail, and fail miserably at it. It's been hard to find the time, and before you know it, another grip of activities has come and gone. So, here's another Sperry Family update for you (because I know you all wait anxiously to see what we've been up too..haha) Right.....anyway.....

Kaitlyn turned 3 on October 27th. I can't believe it. It seems just not too long ago, she was doing the things Savannah is doing now. Here are some photos from her birthday party. She was sooooo excited about it all week leading up to her party.
